As you may have noticed at the bottom of every page here, I’m using a new CMS to manage this web site. My criteriae for selecting it are very subjective and related to my current interest in software tools:
- MUST NOT be in Java or PHP
- MUST be open source
- SHOULD be in Ruby, preferably on top of Ruby on Rails which I consider as one of the best web frameworks.
These said, it doesn’t leave too many products :-)
In addition, it supports many OSS databases like PostgreSQL (like I’m using), MySQL and SQLite, is very easy to install and configure and a joy to use. What more could I be asking? Ah, yes, more documentation, the main site is a bit sparse at the moment…
